Workflow Continue Button on Previous Steps

Hello, I notice that in some cases in a workflow (not a screenflow) that the continue button is not visible when navigating to previous steps. I also notice that the color of the navigation steps differ.

What determines if the continue button is shown when navigating to previous steps of a workflow? Also, what is the meaning of the variations in the color of the navigation links?

  The Continue button will only be shown if the user viewing the step has the ability to submit it, i.e. it's part of a screenflow. See Screenflow Navigation. 

  We do have an enhancement request to allow more options for navigating forward using the navigation toolbar (TIP-30622) but this has not been assigned a milestone yet.

  I found the meaning of the colors of the navigation links (Edit Settings - frevvo v10.3 Documentation - frevvo Documentation). 

  Still looking for how the submit button in Navigation works.

  With some experimentation it seems like, in a workflow, that if the current step has unsatisfied required fields and you navigate backwards then the submit button will not be displayed. On the other hand if the required fields are satisfied then the submit will be displayed.
