Linking multiple forms for manager approvals for all forms
I have several questions all pertaining to linking of multiple forms.
I have 4 forms. Three of the forms are dependent on the information from the main form. Once the main form is complete, depending on preconditions, will route the user to fill out the subsequent forms. Currently have this portion of the workflow working, however, how do I have the manager approve all 4 forms separately? Also, one of the forms is a "follow up" form completed at a later date, but again populated by the main form. How do I program incorporate the follow up form to be filled out and approved on a later date?
How do I populate the dependent forms with the shared information from the main form?
Once all required forms are completed by user, how do I send them all to the manager for approval? (all of the subsequent forms have preconditions so only 1 or two may populate for approval)
Finally, How would I then forward all completed and approved forms to specialist user for usage?
Also, how would I incorporate emails notifications for this workflow? One to manager, one to specialist user.

Hi Rita,
Great questions! Please see this documentation about linked steps vs. separate forms in your workflow. Emails can be sent mid-workflow using Activity Doc Actions or at the end of the workflow using an Email Doc Action.

Thank you....
My issue is that I have multi-page forms with multiple steps (preconditions) performed by single user with a manager to approve the individual forms after submission.
The business rules generated by the wizard, hides the first step manager approval step on the first form, but displays the manager approval steps on the other pages when initial user is filling out, even though a business rule is in place for each form. Not sure how to allow manager to approve all forms after submission and allow him to update form if needed, prior to his approval. Can you assist?

Hi Rita,
Please see this documentation on Workflow Design Patterns. You may need to combine screenflows with linked steps, and arrange them on your workflow outline in the correct order. For example,
Form A - user
Form B - user
Form A Linked Step - Manager
Form B Linked Step - Manager
This is a custom workflow design pattern. Our Client Services team is ideal if you want help with your specific workflow design pattern. If would you like to engage with our Services team, please fill out this form.
Thanks!
