In the upcoming frevvo v10.2 Cloud-only release, the Submissions (Legacy View) and Saved Fields features will no longer be available. These features have been deprecated since v7.1; Customers were primarily using this feature to export an unlimited number of Saved Fields in an Excel format.
We're excited to announce that v10.2 will now support the ability to specify unlimited Export Fields to download in the Submissions CSV file. This file can easily be viewed in Excel if desired. This replaces the Submissions (Legacy View) Export to Excel feature.
One additional role of Saved Fields was to set the data to be displayed on the View Submission Details: Data tab. In v10.2, you will see that Summary Fields will serve the same function. Summary Fields have been expanded to Forms as well as Workflows, and the fields may be selected and re-ordered in a similar manner to Searchable Fields. The fields selected will provide a user viewing the submission details a summary view of the form/workflow's data.
Additionally, in current versions, Internet Explorer is not supported in design mode. In v10.2, frevvo will also drop support for Internet Explorer in use mode.
What does this mean for me?
Your previous settings will be automatically converted as follows during the v10.2 upgrade:
Current Settings
|
New Settings
|
---|---|
Searchable Fields | Searchable Fields (no change) |
Saved Fields | Export Fields |
Summary Fields | Summary Fields (new UI, with ability to reorder) |
- Customers previously using Saved Fields to display control values on the View Submission Details: Data tab must manually set these fields as Summary Fields. For workflows, you can do this before or after the upgrade. For Forms, you must do this after the upgrade to v10.2 because Summary Fields was not previously available on Forms. After the upgrade, you will have the ability to reorder Summary Fields.
- Once any Export Fields are set, these will be included in the CSV Download. Please see this documentation which describes the formatting differences between the CSV Download and the retired Export to Excel feature.
- If you are using Internet Explorer in use mode, you must switch to a supported browser at the time of the v10.2 upgrade or earlier.
Please see our Planning for v10.2 Guide and Migration Considerations for additional details.
